It is essential that there is no confusion or time wasted when you are packing, and not knowing what you should be packing is likely to waste a lot of time, as you have a think about it, work it all out and then finally get on with it. A plan for packing will be essential in the sense that you need to leave many things out of their boxes until the last minute. If you start packing up without really working it all out, then you are at risk of putting things away that you really need, like kitchen equipment, and other stuff that get used regularly. Ensure that you start planning early, so that you are already well sorted plans wise, and still have a great deal of time with which to do the job properly. Packing boxes come in all shapes and sizes, so ensure that you get a range of sizes, in a sturdy build. There is little point in getting cheap and flimsy boxes, as you will no doubt end up spending the money that you saved on replacements for things that were damaged when the boxes failed! You will also need tape, bubble wrap, newspaper and marker pens.Be aware of over wrapping items within the boxes. You should be economical at all points of your domestic removal, as every penny saved will ensure that you are able to reduce the overall cost. Using newspaper for certain items rather than bubble wrap will save money and space in the boxes, whilst also being much better for the environment. Mark out what is in the boxes as soon as you have packed them, so that the removals services know exactly what they are dealing with as they get on with the job. This will ensure that the boxes are treated carefully, and placed in the right place in the van. You can also write the destination of the box, so that the unpacking process is sped up, and you don’t have to lug boxes from room to room when you arrive, saving time and effort!
